2 days WFH, 9 DAY FORTNIGHT - Alternate Fridays off

A full-time position has arisen for the Head of Finance at a rapidly growing E-commerce company for an enthusiastic, self-organised and talented individual that is passionate about a career in a fast paced, fun, and driven environment. Our Clients are successful Ecommerce entrepreneurs who are growing their businesses to new international markets, and using our own SaaS software portal and our own portfolio of 3PL warehouses around the world, we sell subscriptions and 3PL logistics activities to underpin their international success.
We're growing quickly, and are partnered with some of the worlds biggest businesses, with a talented and powerful team.
The Head of Finance, leading a small team, is a key role to ensure the financial integrity of the Group and reports directly into the Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with prior management experience.
We’re looking for someone with energy to build and improve in all that they are involved in;
Someone to develop new processes that underpin our financial strength as we grow. You’ll create, manage and present to the Leadership Team our key ratios and provide dependable financial intelligence across the business as well as guiding and developing your own team. You’ll be adept in Xero and able to use modern analytics to provide real insight at an advanced level.
E-Commerce trading (especially Amazon) and International VAT compliance experience is desirable. We're big on AI and you can utilize the power of our own AI Foundry to automate and improve finance processes in every area.
- Oversight of all financial data across the 4 Group companies, including operations in the EU
- Routine management of company financial affairs
- Driving of the group’s relevant Objectives and Key Results
- Responsibility for leading the finance team
- Reporting of monthly management information,
- Liaison with accountants for preparation of statutory accounts,
- Leading annual budgeting process
- Liaison with Group’s debt funders
- Liaison and management of banking relationships
- Oversight of all invoicing and pushing for constant improvement across the service streams offered by the Group
- Managing any escalated disputes raised by customers
- Processing of payroll, expenses and support for HR requirements
- Ensuring reconciliations of costs and chargeable expenses
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts and managing supplier payments
- Managing foreign exchange risk and relevant current cash balances
- Manage and reduce debtor list and liaise with global debt agencies where applicable
- Ensuring full tax compliance for Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE (or other relevant taxes as applicable across the group)
- Develop and expand systems and processes to fit with continuous improvement environment
- Consulting on technical VAT queries across the business
- Forecasting acquisition targets and supporting senior leadership with acquisition process and subsequent integrations
- Any other ad hoc tasks as and when required
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Circa 5+ year PQE
- Demonstrable experience of leading a team
- Strong communication skills with all levels of a business

Salary Banding: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

with 2 days from home, fixed in office Monday, Wednesday and Friday 0900 to 1800 on a 9 day fortnight system (every other Friday off)
