Group Financial Controller

CMA Executive is excited to be representing a new Group Financial Controller position for a highly successful independent organisation with a significant portfolio of investments in multiple sectors including Hospitality and Property. Located on the South Coast for 30 years, this company has had a solid history of stable growth and continues to deliver large scale investments in property planning, development and operations across the UK and beyond.

What will the Group Financial Controller role involve?

Responsibilities include statutory reporting, commercial financial analysis, investment appraisal, and financing. A key focus will be on implementing robust financial controls and integrating new systems and procedures, fostering a productive and efficient working culture. The position will also be heavily involved in managing the financial aspects of new acquisitions and projects.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Director vacancy:

• Qualified accountant with significant senior-level experience, with exposure directly to the Hospitality sector.
• A good understanding of Capex projects and the financing and accounting required.
• Ability to streamline and improve inherited ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and team management experience to motivate, develop, and grow a finance team.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation skills, with experience preparing high-quality reports for senior stakeholders.
• Proven financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and drive business performance.
• Problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions and challenging existing processes when necessary.
