Senior Finance Analyst Full time Salary £50,501.00 - £58,919.00 Hybrid Southampton
Senior Financial Analyst – Finance Business Partnering TeamWe are seeking a proactive and analytically minded Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Business Partnering team. You'll work closely with Finance Business Partners and business stakeholders to provide high-quality financial insight, reporting and investment governance support that enables informed decision-making and improves organisational performance. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop commercial understanding and business awareness whilst building strong analytical expertise across portfolios.
Yourresponsibilities will include:
- Providing financial analysis and insight to support budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
- Producing high-quality management information, reporting and dashboards that help stakeholders understand performance and make informed decisions
- Analysing financial and operational performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Supporting the development and review of investment business cases and financial models
- Coordinating Programme Performance & Change (PPC) activities and maintaining Post Investment Reviews (PIRs) Tracking delivery against approved business case assumptions and benefits.
- Building effective relationships with managers, project leads and budget holders to provide financial support and challenge
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, and improve finance processes, reporting and management information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience in financial analysis, reporting and performance management
- Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insight for both financial and non-financial audiences
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence to ask questions and support decision-making
- Excellent Excel skills, with Power BI experience desirable
- A proactive and curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Studying towards, or interested in pursuing, a professional accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
