Main duties of the jobAre you hard working, adaptable and quick to learn? Do you have experience in a healthcare, caring or public facing setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking to recruit Radiology Department Assistants (RDAs) to join our fast-paced Cross Sectional Imaging team within the Radiology Department at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).

Jobresponsibilities WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work alongside Radiographers, Doctors and other Healthcare professionals.
- Prepare patients for their CT and MR scans (including radiation and MRI safety).
- Provide aftercare for patients undergoing CT and MRI-guided interventional procedures such as biopsies and cannulation.
- Maintain the working environment keeping it safe, stocked, tidy and ensuring it meets a high standard of cleanliness.
- Data entry and admin tasks are required for maintaining patient records.
- Someone with a genuine interest in healthcare.
- Previous healthcare, caring or public facing experience.
- Good communication skills and a caring and calm personality.
- Willing to be flexible about your shifts and able to cover service hours outlined above.
- Basic computer skills with good attention to detail.
- NVQ 3 in Healthcare, with acute units corresponding to speciality (or equivalent)
- Experience in a relevant care environment or customer facing role.
- Knowledge of Computed Radiology Information System (CRIS)
- Education to A level / T Level
- Basic Life support
- Previous hospital experience
- Previous experience of stock control
- Knowledge of radiography
- Working Together
- Always Improving
