An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Nurse / Mental Health Practitioner to be a part of a supportive and innovative CAMHS Wellbeing Hub. The aim of the CAMHS Wellbeing Hub is to listen to and understand the child/young person's presentation and needs to identify the most helpful service within Southampton City who would be able to support the child, young person and their family.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a highly skilled and specialist intervention using techniques and knowledge gained through experience, self-development, and evidence-based practice. They will ensure that a high quality, timely, accessible, and evidence-based service is available to all service users who need it throughout the team. Alongside the clinical aspect of the role the post holder will be involved in developing and sustaining partnership working with individuals, groups, communities and agencies and contributing to service development as appropriate.

We are looking for an exceptional experienced practitioner with the right attitude, skills and knowledge, who share our passion to deliver the best quality care experience for children and their families. The post should appeal to enthusiastic and highly motivated candidates who are passionate about getting the journey right for our children, young people and families, so that the right intervention, at the right time for the right child is embedded.

Candidates should have a sound working knowledge of NHS and voluntary mental health services as well as enhanced knowledge and skills in the screening, assessment and treatment of children with complex needs.

The CAMHS team is a strong and supportive team and has excellent structures to offer regular supervision. You will be working alongside an established team at an important time in our development. It really is an exciting time to be joining us as we push forward with implementing new ways of working in order to best meet the needs of the population we work with.
