Senior Practitioner | Learning Disability & Neurodiverse Team

Senior Practitioner needed for our Learning Disability and Neurodiverse Team, paying between £32 - £35 per hour

• Location: Southampton
• Rate: Between £32 - £35 per hour
• Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary
• Role: Qualified Social Worker – Children's Services

Southampton is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Learning Disability and Neurodiverse Team. This role will support the Team Manager and provide strong leadership, oversight and practice guidance within a fast-paced statutory service.

• Supporting the Team Manager with day-to-day operational and practice oversight
• Line management of qualified and unqualified staff, Chairing Best Interest Meetings and Safeguarding Meetings
• Providing practice advice, guidance and reflective supervision to staff
• Holding a small, complex caseload alongside senior and management duties
• Ensuring statutory responsibilities are met under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act

• Significant experience working with adults with learning disabilities
• Strong working knowledge of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
• Confident decision-maker with excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience chairing multi-disciplinary meetings
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively within a high-demand environment
• Comfortable working at pace while maintaining quality and oversight
