Are you looking to start your career in HR? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our People & Culture Team as a People Assistant. This role is ideal for someone beginning their journey in HR, with the potential to progress via an apprenticeship route.
What You’ll Be DoingAs our People Assistant, you’ll provide essential support across the full employee lifecycle, helping to deliver a smooth and professional experience for our people. Your responsibilities will include:
Onboarding & Offboarding- Coordinating and undertaking new starter inductions and welcome packs.
- Managing onboarding documentation and systems.
- Handling leaver processes, including completing reference requests.
- Supporting CPD and training plan creation.
- Arranging leadership and continuing competence training.
- Preparing offer letters, contracts, and other employment documentation.
- Maintaining accurate records in the People information system.
- Logging absences, holidays, flexi-time, and benefits.
- Scheduling reviews and managing documentation.
- Supporting the annual trainee recruitment process.
- Supporting the Talent Acquisition team with interview coordination and applicant tracking when required.
- Managing work experience placements and CSR event participation.
- Responding to employee queries.
- Assisting with maternity leave, DBS checks, GDPR audits, and Lexcel inspection preparation.
- Contributing to Learning & Development initiatives.
- Organise quarterly review meetings for each team within the Firm
