The team seeks a dynamic Technical Project Manager to help deliver the technology portfolio of work.
ResponsibilitiesAs part of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering projects in partnership with key stakeholders to meet agreed milestones, priorities, standards and budget.
- Defining project organization structures and resourcing models, negotiating with third‑party supply teams to deliver projects effectively.
- Leading project inter‑dependencies and constraints, adhering to governance processes, standards and reporting.
- Managing project risks and issues, impact‑assessing, mitigating, and escalating appropriately.
- Monitoring project performance through clearly defined metrics and KPIs.
- Measuring and tracking project finances, progress against milestones and quality, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Ensuring project plans are produced, actively maintained, detailed and consistently aligned to the overall plan.
The Technical Project Manager will have experience managing software development projects, delivery of digital products, data migrations or platform migrations, preferably in an enterprise environment.
Experience in the financial sector is not essential but advantageous, as delivering technical changes may require business understanding within a well‑governed change environment.
We work with waterfall and agile methods, using tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project and Project Online.
The individual will have the following capabilities:
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, including environment structures, testing phases and release disciplines.
- Effectively manages change and initiates improved ways of working that positively impact customers.
- Communicates with clarity and impact; demonstrates excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Data‑curious mindset with analytical skills to shape initiatives.
- Detail‑conscious, demonstrating task and finance control.
- Objectively and systematically analyses problems and risks to develop appropriate mitigating solutions.
