Digital Portfolio Manager
Branding, Marketing and Communications (BMC) – Level 3:
Assistant Director – Regional (Outside London; Hybrid, minimum one day/week in office).
As part of a newly formed team of three Digital Portfolio Managers, you will set the agenda for a portfolio of key topics, ensuring a compelling communication of EY’s services. You will build deep knowledge of the firm’s UK growth strategy, use data to recommend content and experience strategies, and work closely with senior leaders across business and brand, marketing and communications (BMC) teams.
ResponsibilitiesStrategy
- Agree clear objectives with business and BMC stakeholders for how will support brand, sales, corporate or regulatory needs.
- Create data‑based strategies covering content, journeys, SEO, site performance, and competitor analysis, securing stakeholder engagement.
- Recommend client journeys and target actions, ensuring hand‑off processes and measuring response.
- Maintain close relationships with Global teams and manage activation of globally created content within the UK.
- Balance recommended content with business requests, prioritising according to available capacity.
- Proactively identify and drive the use of AI tools to enhance messaging speed and quality.
- Brief Digital Content Managers to deliver site‑ready content, including editing, localisation and UK‑specific creation.
- Project‑manage new content from brief to page build and publishing.
- Work with stakeholders to keep service and product pages current (value propositions, contact details, links).
- Coordinate QA processes with page builders before publication.
- Ensure regulatory‑required materials are delivered on time.
- Guarantee all content meets brand standards while simplifying the business process.
- Collaborate with the Digital Technical Manager to resolve link or technical issues.
- Champion AI tools to streamline messaging while preserving human quality and distinctiveness.
- Deliver regular performance updates on traffic, search rankings, on‑site behaviour and competitor benchmarking.
- Translate data into actionable site and content recommendations.
- Positive, proactive mindset with the ability to inspire stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and consensus‑building.
- Excellent technical knowledge of website strategy, development, delivery and measurement.
- Growth mindset for AI adoption to accelerate output.
- Data interrogation skills for fact‑based recommendations.
- People‑management skills to brief and lead content creators and page builders.
- Resilience and ability to handle high‑pace environments with multiple priorities.
- Proactive, problem‑solving mindset with resilience in transformation programmes.
- 7+ years’ experience in a similar role; degree or professional qualifications welcome but not essential.
- Exceptional technical knowledge of website design (Adobe AEM preferred), UX, SEO, marketing automation, and digital content creation.
- Experience in website content management, design/builds (Adobe AEM), UX, SEO, analytics, and marketing automation.
- Strong understanding of digital activation of product content and user journeys.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in technical requirements gathering and resource planning.
- Ability to generate quality reporting across digital channels and create insight and attribution models.
- Experience in large/matrix B2B organisations, balancing stakeholder requirements and building relationships.
