Please note that this role is based at our Fareham site and you will be required to attend three days per week.

As a Data centre Infrastructure Management Technical Specialist
, you will join the Infrastructure Operations Services team, delivering technical support across key data centre locations. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining electrical and mechanical infrastructure, while supporting IT installations to meet business and customer project needs.

• Work Monday–Friday with participation in a 24/7 on‑call rota.
• Monitor and maintain data centre management tools and infrastructure.
• Deliver IT installations, moves, and decommissioning of legacy equipment.
• Install and manage LAN and SAN cabling within the data centre.
• Maintain accurate asset and configuration data, ensuring effective tracking and control.
• Support data centre operations by resolving incidents to SLA, collaborating on projects, and working with third‑party suppliers to deliver maintenance and service improvements.

• Relevant experience working in a data centre support role or operations environment.
• Practical hands‑on experience with data centre equipment installations.
• Copper and fibre cabling infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of Sunbird and Raritan data centre software/hardware products.
• Clean driving licence essential as there is travel to other Kingfisher sites.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work as part of a small team of three.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Reliable and conscientious.

• Excellent GCSE grades, emphasis on IT, English and Maths.

Immediate eligibility through auto‑enrolment. Contribute 8% to receive a max 14% from the Company.

25 days per annum plus bank holidays as stated in your contract (pro rated for part time colleagues).

20% discount at B&Q and Screwfix. Eligible after 3 months service.

x4 Salary plus benefit equal to value of your Retirement Account (if an active member of KPS‑MP) or x1 Salary if not active member.

Save with the option to buy Kingfisher plc shares at the end of a 3 or 5 year period. Offered annually. Three months service is required at the annual invitation date, normally in October.
