NOC Engineer

Overview

The NOC Engineer role is a shift‑based position. All shifts outside of normal office hours are performed remotely, as are half of the day shifts, so you only need to attend the Chandler's Ford office 1–3 days a month.

• Up to £45,000 base salary

• Implement, monitor and support the company's IT infrastructure and networking.
• Adhere to IT support and service processes.
• Work closely with a project manager and technical support teams.
• Proactively monitor IT systems to ensure 24x7x365 uptime.
• Continuously support and improve the UK IT infrastructure by working on upgrades and other improvements.
• Contribute to the development of the IT dashboard for the Network Operational Centre.

• Commercial IT support experience.
• Tenacious approach to learning new technology and processes.
• Team‑player, prepared to share specialist knowledge with colleagues.
• Cyber security knowledge.
• Experience with Linux server operating systems.
• SC cleared or eligible for clearance.
• Commercial networking knowledge.
• Firewall configuration experience.
• Knowledge of switch and router configuration.
• Understanding of PKI (public key infrastructure) and key management.
