The Role

This role plays a critical part in supporting transformation initiatives for a leading global customer in the life sciences and manufacturing domain.

The consultant will contribute to high-impact projects involving advanced scheduling and supply chain optimization, with access to cutting-edge SAP technologies. Working alongside global teams, the role offers opportunities to influence strategic process improvements and deliver scalable solutions across diverse geographies.

Your responsibilities:

Lead and support SAP MM implementations and rollouts for manufacturing clients, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business requirements.

Design, configure, and optimize SAP MM processes with a focus on Process, Repetitive, and Discrete Manufacturing environments.

Drive capacity planning and production scheduling activities, leveraging advanced SAP functionalities and integration.

Develop and maintain batch management processes, including Batch Determination, Batch Search Strategy, and Batch Derivation.

Integrate SAP MM with related modules Strong understanding of MM/Logistics master data objects and their interdependencies, Strong knowledge of supply chain master data and related configurations, Material Master setup across all views (Basic, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, Quality, Foreign Trade, etc.). Source List (SL), Purchasing Info Record (PIR), Quality Info Record (QIR) and other S4 objects Bill of Materials (BOM), Production Version (PV), and Master Recipe Documentation, Testing and Landscape Knowledge – Essential (all projects)

Lead or participate in interface development and integration projects, ensuring robust data flow between SAP and external systems.

Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones, ensuring effective communication and timely project delivery.

Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and drive continuous process improvements in production planning and execution.

Engage with multiple sites & resolve the issues that are plant/site specific.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in SAP MM implementations and rollouts, preferably in Process Industries.

Strong understanding of MM/Logistics master data objects and their interdependencies, Strong knowledge of supply chain master data and related configurations, Material Master setup across all views (Basic, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, Quality, Foreign Trade, etc.). Source List (SL), Purchasing Info Record (PIR), Quality Info Record (QIR) and other S4 objects Bill of Materials (BOM), Production Version (PV), and Master Recipe Documentation, Testing and Landscape Knowledge – Essential (all projects

In-depth knowledge of SAP batch management functionalities, including Batch Determination, Batch Search Strategy, and Batch Derivation.

Experience in integrating SAP MM with modules.

Hands‑on experience in interface development and integration projects, including troubleshooting and monitoring.

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across global teams and time zones.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

Variant Configuration experience to support complex product modelling and customization.

Integration of SAP MM - Strong understanding of MM/Logistics master data objects and their interdependencies, Strong knowledge of supply chain master data and related configurations, Material Master setup across all views (Basic, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, Quality, Foreign Trade, etc.).

Basic understanding of manufacturing line processes, including shop floor operations and production workflows.

Prior involvement in global delivery models, with experience collaborating across IST and European time zones.

Experience in Repetitive and Discrete Manufacturing alongside Process Industries.

Ability to conduct training and workshops for business users and stakeholders.

Familiarity with SAP best practices and industry standards in life sciences or similar regulated industries
