Delivery Postie with Driving – Hedge End Delivery Office, SO30 2JH
. Fixed Term contract for 6 months. 30 hours per week, 5 days across Monday to Sunday, 08:30 to 15:00. Weekend work on a rota basis is required due to operational demand.

We are recruiting for a role that supports delivering items to local communities. It is a physical role that keeps you active and requires you to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials in line with Royal Mail business standards.
• Deliver items such as letters, parcels and other mail to customers on time and with care.
• Represent Royal Mail in the community and provide good customer service while delivering.

• Upbeat, independent and self-motivated
• Organised, punctual and able to deliver great customer service
• People-person and friendly face in the community
• Happy walking for long periods and working outside in any weather
• Strong sense of community and pride in what you do
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

• A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68 per hour (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours)
• 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (adjusted to your working hours if below 37 hours a week)

Please note: Roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time for candidate search purposes. Roles under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
