Your new company A leading organisation is seeking an Interim Procurement Specialist to join its procurement team in Sheffield. Operating within a complex and collaborative environment, the business is focused on delivering value through effective sourcing, supplier management and strategic procurement activity across both UK and global operations. Working on a hybrid basis, with a mix of home and site-based working, you will play a key role in supporting procurement objectives, developing strong stakeholder relationships and contributing to wider procurement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional looking to make an immediate impact within a commercially focused organisation. Your new role As Interim Procurement Specialist, you will lead end-to-end procurement activity across your designated category, managing sourcing projects, supplier relationships and contract governance to deliver commercial value and operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing and managing contracts in line with legal, regulatory and internal procurement requirements, ensuring compliance and supporting audit readiness.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will identify procurement opportunities, manage supplier performance through KPI monitoring and drive accountability across the supply base. The role will also involve conducting market, spend and demand analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, track performance and support informed decision-making. You will contribute to procurement process improvement initiatives, help maintain compliance with procurement systems and procedures, and support efficient purchasing activities across the business.

In addition, you will work collaboratively with regional and international teams, sharing insights and contributing to global category strategies and procurement projects. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this Procurement Specialist position, you will bring proven experience within procurement, sourcing or category management, together with strong commercial awareness and a track record of delivering value through effective negotiation and supplier management.

You will have experience managing contracts and supplier relationships from inception through to performance review, alongside the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical skills are essential, with the capability to interpret data, identify trends and uncover opportunities for cost savings and service improvements. You will be highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and able to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.

A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance will be key to success in this role. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and procurement systems is also required. What you'll get in return In return, you will have the opportunity to join a well-established organisation in a varied and rewarding interim procurement role based in Sheffield. Alongside a competitive package, you will benefit from 27 days' annual leave, an annual bonus, a generous employer pension contribution, life assurance, income protection, enhanced sick pay and family-friendly benefits.

Flexible and hybrid working is also available, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

You will also have access to a health and wellbeing programme, employee assistance programme and a range of additional benefits, while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.
