About the Company
We are recruiting on behalf of an established international logistics business providing freight forwarding, customs, transport and supply chain solutions to a diverse customer base.
As an Ocean Import Coordinator, you will manage the day-to-day import process from pre-shipment through to delivery and invoicing, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, accurately and in line with customs and customer requirements.

- Previous experience in import freight forwarding or logistics
- Experience with Cargo Wise or similar freight forwarding systems
- Good knowledge of import customs procedures and documentation
- Understanding of Home Use, CFSP, Warehousing, Bonds, T1s and NCTS
- Knowledge of CDS, CNS and Destin8 would be advantageous
- Good understanding of Bills of Lading and Incoterms
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently.
- Coordinate import shipments from origin through to final delivery
- Liaise with overseas offices, customers, transport providers and internal teams
- Manage shipment documentation, Bills of Lading and customer records
- Monitor ETAs, delivery bookings and shipment deadlines
- Complete and check customs entries and ensure compliance with customs procedures
- Manage uncleared/unbooked shipments and resolve operational issues
- Raise accurate invoices and ensure correct job profitability
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records and shipment information within Cargo Wise
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and additional services
- Support colleagues and assist with training when required
