Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

Our client a very established, secure and growing organisation are looking for a Buyer based in Nursling in Southampton.

They have two roles one 12 month fixed term contract (Frozen and Chilled)

One Full time Permanent ( Vitamins Minerals and Supplements)

- Generous holiday allowance,

- A share in the company profits paid monthly tax free currently around 200

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our buying team.

Assisting with the management of regular supplier accounts within chilled/frozen category

Onboarding new suppliers/brands

Negotiating pricing, contract terms and conditions with existing suppliers.

Analysing market trends and perform cost analysis to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control

Supporting the implementation of category plans

Liaising with suppliers to maintain good relationships

Providing administrative support to the Buying Team

Good practical knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel & Word.

Administration and the ability to use reports and spot trends.

Strong negotiating skills.

Good supplier rapport.

The ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Plenty of initiative and the ability to work both alone and liaising with a team

Ability to cope with demands of a fast pace changing industry
