Tardis Environmental UK Ltd are a well-established portable toilet and tanker hire business that operate a large fleet of HGV and LGV vehicles across various locations situated throughout the UK.

We hire temporary waste and water solutions from 1000ltr waste and water storage tanks up to 30.000ltr storage tanks. Currently members of FORS and holdGoldaccreditation.

We are currently looking to recruit aFitter/Yard Operativebased out of ourSouthampton Depot.

Salary:£15.00per hour

Vehicle :
Work van

Working Hours:Monday to Friday

Hours: 6am to 3pm (with a degree of flexibility to suit the business needs)

Location:Southampton Depot (travel as and when required)



Job Responsibilities :

• Computer literate
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in general plumbing/mechanics/electrics (preferred but not essential as training given)
• FLT Licence (preferred but not essential)
• Flexibility on hours
• General experience with hand tools
• Can work well on own or as part of a team
• Repairs and Maintenance on various items of plant
• Cleaning and preparing portable Toilets and associated plant ready for hire
• Loading and unloading vehicles when needed
• Keeping the depot clean and tidy
• Receiving plant returns
• Logging damage to plant and sending pictures and information to head office
• Undertaking Stocktakes
• Willing to travel around country
• Preferred towing experience but not essential
• Liaising with HQ on all plant and parts requirements, repairs and ready for hire
• Good Customer Care Skills
• Attending customer sites and rectifying issues with plant on site either sent from your home depot or another.
• Towing experience (preferred but no essential)
• An eye for problem solving and troubleshooting, generally curious on how things work
