Drainage Engineer Van Pack

Overview

You will support our drainage engineers working on the Southern Water contract, delivering real and effective solutions to waste‑water network and drainage problems.

• Travelling to residential sites in a van and operating high‑pressure water jet for restoration.
• Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
• Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
• Deliver good customer service.
• Maintain good H&S practice while carrying out works.
• Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
• Work unsupervised in all weather conditions utilising correct PPE, lone worker system, etc.
• Dynamic risk assess site access and working conditions on arrival.
• Liaise with the client regarding progress and any updates.
• Provide support to colleagues.
• Inspect tools, equipment and plant before/after use and report defects or malfunctions.
• Carry out risk assessments and adopt a mature approach to risk perception.
• Adhere to all Lanes Group policies.
• Perform other reasonable ad‑hoc duties requested by management.

• Hard working and respectful.
• Compliance with health and safety standards.
• Experience with High‑Pressure Jetting equipment useful but not essential.
• Other drainage qualifications such as NRSWA and Confined Spaces are an advantage.
• Full UK driver’s licence.

• Salary: OTE £35,000.
