Southampton - Full‑time, on-site for the first 6 months, with flexible working available after probation

Salary: £40,000 + car allowance + uncapped commission

Manpower is looking for a Branch Manager to lead our Southampton operation. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a region and drive growth across our Local Staffing Services temporary and permanent solutions, covering driving, logistics, manufacturing and ancillary sectors.

Why this role matters

As Branch Manager, you will lead a blended team of 360 consultants and delivery specialists, ensuring each consultant is set up for success. You'll be the driving force behind regional performance - building client partnerships, growing market share and setting the standard for service excellence.

You'll also play a key role in implementing Manpower's strategy across the region, working closely with our wider operational leaders and support functions to deliver best‑in‑class outcomes.

What you'll be doing

Drive Sales & Growth

Lead business development activity across all Manpower specialisms
Build strong client relationships and win new opportunities
Maximise GP across temporary and permanent offerings
Represent the brand confidently in your region

Lead & Develop Your Team

Coach and inspire a high-performing consultant team
Build a strong talent pipeline and develop future leaders
Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
Champion digital recruitment strategies and modern sourcing methods

Operational Excellence

Own and manage P&L performance
Drive system adoption, productivity and operational consistency
Partner with the Head of Driving & Operational Excellence to ensure compliance, efficiency and quality delivery
Use data and analytics to guide your decision-making

Who we're looking for

Either a Senior Recruitment Consultant ready to step up, or an experienced recruitment leader.
Commercially confident with a strong business development track record
Experienced in permanent and temporary staffing
Collaborative, adaptable and comfortable influencing at all levels
Motivated by growing teams, improving performance and driving regional success
A full UK driving licence holder
