Regional Lead – Strategic Growth & Major Residential Delivery

Future Gen Recruitment is working with a leading planning consultancy seeking a Planning Director to lead and grow its Southampton/South Coast operation.

This is a senior strategic appointment suited to an MRTPIplanner with strong market presence, commercial drive and leadership capability. The Planning Director will take responsibility for driving business growth, securing major instructions, managing senior client relationships and building a high-performing regional team.

The Planning Director will be responsible for both operational leadership and business expansion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting and delivering the South Coast growth strategy
• Securing new work, strengthening market presence and expanding client accounts
• Managing senior client relationships, including developer and investor accounts
• Overseeing project profitability, operational performance and team resourcing
• Leading major appeals and Local Plan examinations
• Recruiting, mentoring and developing senior planners and future leaders
• Actingas a visible figurehead for the business within the regional development market
