Job Description

At Leonardo, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Material Controller. The Integrated Sensing and Protection business in Southampton is uniquely positioned as one of the world's top manufacturers of Infra‑Red detectors and communication systems. As a Material Controller you will control the flow of material within the Production environment in a timeframe that supports the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Responsibilities
  • Organising and issuing materials to the manufacturing area
  • Maintaining traceability of all production materials and finished goods
  • Organising the return to vendor of faulty or incorrect materials
  • Working with engineers to ensure build standard integrity is maintained
  • Generating and managing works orders for new build and repair activities
  • Ensuring material is available in line with the master production schedule
  • Generation of shipping documentation
  • Organising the processing of customer repairs
  • Control and reporting of Government furnished assets
What you’ll bring
  • Experience of planning and controlling materials in a manufacturing environment is desirable; comparable experience will also be considered
  • Experience of SAP or similar manufacturing execution systems
