This is a 12 month Fixed-term contract

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong Lean Manufacturing background to drive continuous improvement, process optimisation, product focused within a growing advanced manufacturing environment.

This role is focused on improving how products are manufactured, supporting new product introduction, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and embedding best practice across production operations. It will suit someone who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges, leading change, and delivering measurable operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, productivity, cost reduction and process capability.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, standard work and flow optimisation.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture activities.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Analyse manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce variation.
  • Lead structured problem‑solving activities using A3, 8D, DMAIC and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Support manufacturing layout, process development and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to deliver sustainable improvements.
About You

You will have:

  • 3+ years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence.
  • Strong Lean Manufacturing experience with a proven track record of delivering improvement projects.
  • Experience with Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Six Sigma and structured problem solving.
  • Experience supporting product industrialisation and/or New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or above.
  • Experience with APQP, PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Experience with in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, electronics or similar industries.
