£17.50-£18.00 per hour | 37 hours/week | Mon-Fri
Join a leading Aerospace & Defence manufacturer in Southampton and play a hands‑on role building and testing high‑precision components used in advanced systems. The Role (what you'll be doing)- Precision / micro‑assembly using hand tools, microscopes and fixtures
- Working with small, delicate, high‑tolerance components
- Testing and inspection of electro‑optic and electronic parts
- Following detailed work instructions, drawings and quality standards
- Completing production paperwork accurately and flagging issues early
- Keeping your work area clean, safe and compliant (including controlled environments where required)
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
- Strong attention to detail and a "right first time" mindset
- Good manual dexterity / fine motor skills (comfortable with small parts)
- Able to follow technical instructions and procedures accurately
- Confident using computers (Microsoft Office essential)
- Background in Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Optics or Semiconductor manufacturing
- Cleanroom / controlled‑environment experience
- SAP / ERP exposure
- Aerospace & Defence manufacturing facility
- Some roles based in controlled‑temperature areas and/or clean rooms
- Repetitive fine‑motor tasks; extended periods sitting or standing
