JOB DESCRIPTION

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is offering a rare, fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to grow their social media skills and expertise with one of the world’s leading cruise lines. The Social Media Coordinator will play a hands on role in the growth and success of NCL’s B2C social media and influencer marketing plans. We are seeking a dynamic, talented individual with a minimum of one year’s experience in coordinating content creator/influencer campaigns, community management across social media platforms, copywriting, social listening tools to track, research, and report on current social trends, and contribute to content ideation and creation to help drive awareness and engagement of the NCL brand.

This role encompasses planning, execution, implementation, and measurement. The role will initially account for approximately 60% of time, with the remaining 40% supporting the wider marketing team on general marketing, and will evolve into a full time dedicated Social Media role over time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop Content Creator/Influencer marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and amplify brand storytelling in line with campaign goals, under the direction of the Marketing Director.
  • Identify and collaborate with appropriate content creators, influencers and UGC partners, involving content ideation, creation, performance reporting and influencer vetting/outreach.
  • Discuss and agree campaign scope with Marketing Director and produce clear campaign briefs.
  • Coordinate Content Creator requirements, including vetting contracts, securing specific sailings, handling travel arrangements, expenses, and onboard requirements – liaising with the Ship’s team and Global Social team where required. Ensure procedures and standards are adhered to.
  • Measure, evaluate and report on campaigns.
  • Perform ongoing community management across social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Engage real-time with consumers who interact with brand social channels in positive conversations, relevant trends and cultural conversations.
  • Support the Global Social Media team in writing regional social media copy for platforms where required.
  • Assist with the development of regional organic social media content ideas and tactical implementation.
  • Leverage social platforms and social listening tools to track, research and report on current social media trends and competitive activity in the social space on a continuous basis.
  • Provide general marketing support to the wider Marketing Teams around campaigns and activities. .
  • Projects/Tasks may change or be adjusted according to business requirements.
  • International travel on an ad hoc basis.
QUALIFICATIONS DEGREE TYPE:

Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

Business, Marketing, Communications or any equivalent of education and/or work experience

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of one year’s relevant experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist.
  • Knowledge of, experience with and passion for social media with demonstrated ability to keep abreast of trends.
  • Experience with identifying and managing a range of potential issues on social media.
  • Experience desired with using Creator IQ platform, sprout social, Brandwatch or Pixlee.
  • Understanding of how social media platform algorithms work, and how to maximize engagement.
  • Knowledge of Social Media Management Systems and other social reporting/monitoring tools.
  • Evidence of good problem-solving skills, initiative and resourcefulness.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to effectively interact with management, cross-functionally and with vendors.
