Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Cardiac Scrub Nurses to support hospitals in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled theatre nurses looking for flexible agency work with competitive pay rates and ongoing shift availability.
Pay Rates  £17.00  £27.00 per hour
Location  Southampton

Role Overview  As a Cardiac Scrub Nurse, you will play a key role within the theatre team, supporting cardiac procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and surgical safety. You will be responsible for preparing operating theatres, assisting during procedures, and ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities   Assist surgeons and theatre teams during cardiac procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile operating environments
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are correctly prepared and accounted for
Deliver high standards of patient care before, during, and after surgery
Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures
Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Respond professionally within fast-paced theatre environments
Requirements   Valid NMC registration
Minimum 6 months recent experience working as a Cardiac Scrub Nurse
Previous NHS experience preferred
Strong knowledge of theatre and surgical procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work flexibly across shifts
