Hours: 24 Hour Day Contract (Days, Nights or Bank contracts available) – Paid Breaks

If you’re an experienced, compassionate nurse (RGN/RMN) looking to improve the lives of people with long-term care needs, we can offer you a rewarding career at Hamble Heights Care Home.

We’re seeking a qualified registered nurse to lead and support our care team at the care home. You’ll receive comprehensive training to help you adjust to nursing in a care home setting and ongoing development to help you progress your career.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality nursing care to residents.
  • Lead and support the care team in delivering person-centred care.
  • Conduct clinical assessments of residents, plan, implement, and evaluate care, involving residents and carers as appropriate.
  • Promote the rights, interests, needs and choices of carers and people with dementia in planning, delivery and evaluation of care and services.
  • Liaise with GPs, case managers, primary health care practitioners, statutory and voluntary agencies to support residents.
  • Communicate clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to residents, carers and the multi-professional team, including situations where understanding may be challenging.
  • Maintain clinical records and provide verbal and written feedback to carers and relevant professionals; refer to agencies as required.
  • Utilise information systems to secure accurate and timely resident, workforce and resource data.
  • Integrate current knowledge of dementia and caring into practice, informed by research and evidence.
Qualifications
  • Valid RGN NMC Registration.
  • Previous experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Clear understanding of CQC standards and legislation.
  • Strong leadership, clinical skills, organisational abilities, and the capacity to act as a lead.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with PCS and electronic care planning.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and lead by example.
  • Flexible approach to rota to meet the needs of the home.
