We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in the Urgent Care Centre based at Bursledon Surgery. The position is available for an immediate start. - Deliver safe, effective, and evidence‑based care through autonomous clinical decision‑making, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of conditions.
- To undertake and interpret diagnostics and take appropriate action to manage patient care, distinguishing between abnormal and normal findings in order to relate them to a possible diagnosis, using clinical guidelines as appropriate.
- To signpost appropriately to other services in the identified healthcare pathway.
- Communicate highly sensitive condition‑related information to patients, relatives and carers.
- To maintain accurate and systematic documentation of patient interactions and clinical care provided, including adverse events.
- Promote collaborative working relationships and effective communication between all members of the team at the Urgent Care Centre.
- Ability to interpret a range of diagnostic tests and routine clinical procedures.
- Works within professional guidelines and codes of conduct.
- Report all accidents, incidents, and all ill health, failings in equipment or environment to line managers.
- Maintain and clean equipment as per guidelines that are used in the course of your duty.
- Registered Nurse
- MSc, Level 7 qualification or equivalent
- NMC requirements for advanced practice must be met
- Independent, supplementary nurse prescribing qualification
- Advanced nursing specialist qualification
- Relevant nursing health degree
- Clinical supervision training and experience
- Nurse Prescribing
- Nurse led management of minor illness, minor ailments and other minor injuries
- Nurse led triage
- 3 years plus recent primary or community nursing experience
- Compiling clinical protocols and guidelines
