An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sister/Charge Nurse's in our purpose built Interventional Radiology Day Unit.

job description and main responsibilities

What you’ll do
As a deputy to be responsible for coordinating the daily management of nursing activities within Radiology departments including pre-assessment of patients undergoing radiological rapid recovery/day case/inpatient interventions.

To act as a role model, demonstrate clinical expertise and ensure high standards of care are maintained and nursing resources are allocated and utilised effectively.

To encourage effective working relationships and the development of a cohesive team within the clinical speciality.

To take active participation in the management of theatre sessions, care of patients’ pre, peri, post complex procedures and co-ordination/care of acute patients visiting other areas of the Department for imaging procedures.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and ambitious individuals who have good initiative, great communication, enjoy change and delivering new ideas as well as delivering exemplary care in a day unit/recovery setting.

As a member of the team, we will provide you with training opportunities to develop skills in history taking and physical assessment, taking an active role in seeing, treating, and discharging patients and communicating with members of the wider MDT.
