Welcome to FCMS! We are looking for a Registered Nurse (Wound Care) to join our Wound Care Service. The service is spread across clinics in Fleetwood, Freckleton and St Annes. Pay:£15.88 - £19.33 per hour depending on experience

Clinical Manager for Lancashire Place Based Care CLOSING DATE: 25 SEPTEMBER 2026 Main duties of the job The post holder will undertake wound assessments and treatment for patients with simple wounds. Patients who will be referred to this service will be the following types:
Post operative including suture and staple removal Post trauma skin tears, self-harm Acute wounds that require follow up Cavity Wounds Burns/scalds that require follow up Patient education including nutrition in relation to wound healing and scar management There is an expectation to refer to the wider community team if required, support Senior clinicians and HCAs and attend meetings when required.

The post holder will help promote the service and implement change as requested from the ICB. Exclusion Criteria:
Those patients who are:
Not registered with a GP in Fylde and Wyre CCG (i.e., reside outside area) House bound Undergoing or requiring Vac Therapy patients Undergoing or requiring Larvae Therapy Doppler patients

Assess a wound and make appropriate dressing selection for the desired plan of care within local formulary and national guidelines. Prescribe safely within the prescribing competency framework and undertake prescribing audits relevant to service (relevant to Non-Medical Prescribers) To assess patients autonomously whilst remaining within scope of practice Work within formally agreed arrangements where general practices provide specialised or extended clinical services (LES: Local Enhanced Services) Show awareness of evidence-based practice in wound care Improve access to wound care services Provide short-term care of acute wounds Provide continuity of care and a consistent approach Provide a comprehensive wound care management service Standardise adherence to the ICBs / Lancashire and South Cumbria wound care formulary working towards achieving an 80% compliance rate Improve skills and knowledge of the workforce leading to a higher standard of care Improve cost effective treatments Enhance patient outcomes and reduce secondary care activity Participate in promoting and implementing services to new sites when required by the ICB for the expansion of the service Make entries on patient records to record clinical interventions Make entries in the clinical notes using the service areas computer programme ADASTRA Complete associated documents to…
