We're currently recruiting for a HSEQ Coordinator to support operations at a busy Southampton-based logistics terminal. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong health & safety or quality background to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

The Role

You'll work closely with the HSEQ Manager to support all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across the site. This role is a mix of administration, compliance, auditing, and operational support, ensuring the business meets ISO standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

Support the HSEQ Manager with day-to-day HSEQ activities

Assist with internal and external ISO audits (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)

Carry out safety and quality inspections across the terminal

Maintain and update SOPs, risk assessments, and safe systems of work

Produce reports on KPIs, incidents, fuel usage and compliance data

Input and manage HSEQ data using Excel and internal systems

Support incident reporting and investigations

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and site security standards

Provide general administrative support to the HSEQ function

Act as a positive ambassador for HSEQ standards across the business

About You

Previous experience in a HSEQ, compliance, or safety-focused role

Strong administrative and organisational skills

Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

High attention to detail and accuracy

Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines

Proactive, with a positive and flexible approach

Essential Requirements

A recognised Health & Safety or Quality qualification

Full UK driving licence

Fluent English (written and spoken)

Desirable

NEBOSH qualification

IOSH membership
