Quality Manager

We are looking to recruit a Quality Manager to support the Southern Region at Kier, located in Southampton. The position is full‑time (42.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday) and will not sponsor work visas.

• Support the Pre‑Construction and Operational teams to ensure a right‑first‑time approach in quality management and specification compliance.
• Ensure compliance and operational management in Quality Control Systems, including auditing, risk management, investigations, complaint handling, report writing and quality‑related training.
• Ensure the ISO‑accredited integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) are effectively implemented and monitored.
• Identify opportunities, and implement changes to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify areas of concern and support the contract teams to deliver improvements, analyse the root cause of defects and nonconformities, implement corrective action and update processes with lessons learned.
• Drive improvements in Performance Excellence – always working to be better.

• Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 management system standards.
• Ability to work on own initiative, be proactive, highly organised and display a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Experience in quality management within construction or related industries is desirable.
