Cafe Assistant

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Café Assistant to join the team at the Roundabout Cafe on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a community-focused environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

The Roundabout Café is more than just a café – it’s a welcoming community space where customers feel valued and supported. As a Café Assistant, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm, positive experience for everyone who visits.

• Providing friendly and efficient customer service
• Preparing and serving food and drinks
• Handling cash and card payments accurately
• Keeping the café clean, tidy, and well-presented
• Following food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Supporting the volunteers who help us

• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
• Reliable with a positive, can-do attitude
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a busy café environment
• Previous café or hospitality experience is desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided
