The Store Sales Advisor is responsible for delivering an exceptional, design-led customer experience within a luxury retail environment, fully aligned with the standards of the brand and the prestige of the Harrods setting. They combine deep product knowledge, refined sales capability, and a passion for contemporary design to build long‑term client relationships and drive commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers and provide exceptional hospitality;
- Conduct needs analysis to understand aesthetic and functional requirements;
- Present craftsmanship, materials, and brand heritage with confidence;
- Build a long‑term client book including private and trade clients.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets;
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and follow‑up pipelines;
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline, creation through to close and after sale.
- Maintain impeccable store and visual merchandising standards;
- Ensure displays embody brand identity and presentation quality.
- Process orders and payments accurately;
- Coordinate delivery, custom orders, and after‑sales support;
- Resolve customer issues professionally and promptly.
- Attend brand events and training;
- Support the Harrods Concession Manager in implementing sales initiatives that increase sales performance and improve the customer experience;
- Act as an ambassador of contemporary design and craftsmanship.
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in luxury furniture or design retail;
- Experience with trade clients desirable;
- Strong English skills; an additional language is an advantage.
Technical:
- Understanding of materials, finishes, craftsmanship, and design history;
- CRM, POS, and quoting tool familiarity.
- Highly customer‑focused and adaptive;
- Strong communication and persuasive storytelling skills;
- Target‑driven, organised, and composed under pressure.
- Luxury store environment (e.g., within a premium department store);
- Weekend and evening availability required;
- Willing to work in any London Retail location.
