Night Security Supervisor – Equans UK & Ireland
Equans is looking for a Night Security Supervisor to support Southern Water contracts at Teswood, Southampton (SO40 3WX
). This is a permanent position working 42 hours per week, with an annual salary of £31,043.34 plus a competitive benefits package.
Night shifts: 7 pm – 7 am.
LocationTeswood, Southampton, SO40 3WX
– candidates must have their own means of transport (car, motorbike or bicycle) as public transport is not available near the site.
- Manage front‑of‑house operations (FOH).
- Lead security operations, enforce policies and protocols.
- Conduct regular building inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Control documents such as AI's, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer service in all interactions.
- Oversee and manage clearance procedures and processes.
- Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the organisation and its assets.
- Perform security risk assessments and devise strategies for risk reduction.
- Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, responding swiftly to breaches or incidents.
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services and relevant stakeholders during emergencies.
- Educate and train security personnel on protocols and emergency response plans.
- Inspect security equipment (CCTV, access control, alarms) to ensure proper functioning.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate security measures into all operational facets.
- Keep up with security trends, technologies and regulations and recommend enhancements.
- SIA Door Supervisor licence – minimum 2 years experience.
- SIA CCTV licence required.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience in comprehensive reporting.
- Excellent organisational, detail‑oriented and independent teamwork skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
- Proactive problem‑solving approach to anticipate and address potential security issues.
- Commitment to continuous improvement of security processes and team efficiency.
