Location: West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton

Pay Rate: £13.09 per hour

Mitie has a great opportunity in Hammerson West Quay Shopping Centre. We are looking for an experienced candidate to join the team on site. As a Security Officer you will take a lead role on site on a daily basis, working 46 hours per week on a shift pattern of 4 on, 2 off.

There will be an aspect of working outside in all weather conditions with lots of patrolling, so an active, enthusiastic person would be ideally suited to this role.

• Act as the first point of contact for all customers and clients.
• Maintain geographic awareness of local surroundings.
• Spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity, retaining control until emergency services arrive.
• Record, report and escalatie all sightings and arrests on a regular basis to the Security Shift Manager.
• Demonstrate a determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable character when welcoming clients and customers.

• Be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
• Work on own initiative.
• Show flexibility to work to suit business needs.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Remain calm under pressure.
• Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
