Overview
Corps Security (formerly The Corps of Commissionaires Management Limited) was founded in 1859 to provide employment for ex-servicemen returning from the Crimean War. We are a UK-based, established security services provider committed to loyalty, integrity and service.
We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several client premises to assist with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise. We invest in our colleagues and encourage internal promotion and development; should a permanent contracted vacancy become available, you will be contacted first.
You will be working an average of 42 hours per week covering days and nights. Shift times will be 05:30–17:30 and 17:30–05:30.

- A valid SIA Front-Line License – essential
- A Full UK Driving License – essential
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
- Full UK Driving License and own vehicle or reliable transport
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
- Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carry out regular site patrols and record these as per Corps and Customer requirements
- Ensure all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site
- Record the entry and exit of deliveries on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures
- Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out-of-hours security provision if applicable
- Comply with site waste management procedures
- Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports
- Ensure familiarity with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on changes or recommendations
- Maintain your training records via Corps Colleague Portal and keep skills up to date, including first aid and fire marshal training in line with legislative guidelines
- Continuously apply your SIA skills with a high level of professionalism; your SIA licence must be visibly displayed
- Perform ad hoc duties as directed
