Senior Water Hygiene Technician
in Southampton with a salary range of £32,000 – £38,000 depending on skills and experience, plus the opportunity for annual bonuses.

Senior Water Hygiene Technician
, you will play a vital part in driving company wide performance, supporting clients across all areas of water hygiene and water compliance, and helping to maintain the high professional standards our reputation is built on.

This role involves a combination of site work and office based responsibilities, is ideal for a candidate with a background within the water industry. You will be assisting the Operations Manager with the supervision of a small team, becoming the first point of contact for queries, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication across all projects.

Expertise and attributes –

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong organisational skills.
  • Experience in the water industry.
  • Ability to manage and supervise a small team effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently using initiative and knowledge.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, with competence in computer use.
  • Must undertake and pass a “fitness for work” assessment in order to carry out site based works
  • A national water hygiene EUSR card, CSCS card, DBS check and confined space training are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities –

  • Scheduling routine jobs and allocation of tasks to field staff
  • Liaise with primary clients
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for field staff queries and maintain daily communication.
  • Checking and issuing certificates and other time sensitive documents to clients
  • Assistance as and when required to undertake field work involving, water pipeline commissioning, pressure testing, disinfection, legionella maintenance and other ad hock field tasks
  • Updating of client work summaries for preparation of invoicing
  • Creation of basic RAMS
  • Assisting with reservoir clean and disinfections
