Freelance Trainer Solar PV / Battery Storage (EESS) / EV Charging

Location: Nursling (Southampton) or Whiteley (Fareham)

Engagement: Ongoing freelance | 3 days per week minimum | Flexible scheduling (up to 24 weeks ahead)

SERT is expanding capacity in Q1 and seeks experienced electricians to deliver short upskill courses, bootcamps, and specialist renewables training. We want professionals with strong technical knowledge in Solar PV, Battery Storage, and EV Charger installation.

• Solar PV installation & commissioning
• Battery Storage / EESS design, installation, safety, and commissioning
• EV charger installation & fault-finding
• Short upskill workshops and funded bootcamps
• Technical mentoring, assessment support, and learner guidance

• Qualified electrician (18th Edition or higher)
• Hands‑on experience in Solar PV, EESS, and/or EV installations
• Confident communicator capable of coaching and knowledge transfer
• Reliability and flexibility; ready to deliver in‑centre training 3 days per week in Nursling or Whiteley

• Competitive day rate, negotiable based on experience
• Guaranteed ongoing scheduling, typically 24 weeks ahead
• Training, coaching, and support to achieve teaching qualifications (AET/DET)
• Modern training environments with strong learner demand and long‑term freelance opportunities

• Electrician, Solar PV installer, EV chargepoint installer, battery storage engineer, EESS technician
• Electrical supervisor, renewable energy engineer, electrical trainer (desirable but not required)
