Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker

Location:

Southampton
Salary: £26,805 - £27,464 per annum

Hours:

Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Our client is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker to support adults and families affected by domestic abuse across Southampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in care, support work, youth work, residential childcare, family support, education, or mental health services who wants to make a real difference in people's lives.

About the Role

Working within the community, you will provide practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse, helping them improve their safety, access services, and move towards independence.

You will build trusting relationships with clients, carry out risk assessments, develop safety plans, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure individuals and families receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide one-to-one support and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse.

* Complete risk assessments and develop personalised safety plans.

* Support clients to access housing, benefits, health, and community services.

* Work collaboratively with external agencies and maintain accurate case records.

* Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in care, support work, youth work, residential childcare, family support, education, or similar roles.

Essential Requirements

* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

* Experience supporting vulnerable individuals.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.

* A compassionate, resilient, and non-judgemental approach.
