Position: Student Wellbeing Advisor (Nights)

Student Wellbeing Advisor (Night Service) x2

Are you passionate about supporting students and making a positive difference to their university experience?

We are looking for two Student Wellbeing Advisors to join our Student Wellbeing Service. Working as part of a dedicated and professional team, you will provide advice, guidance and practical support to students experiencing a range of wellbeing, mental health and personal challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our 24/7 service, supporting students outside of standard working hours and helping them access the right support at the right time.

You will engage with students through a range of established processes, helping them understand their options, navigate University services and access appropriate support where needed. The role requires excellent communication skills, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to delivering a high-quality student experience. You will work closely with colleagues across Student Support and other University services to ensure students receive timely, coordinated and student-centred support.

You will be confident making informed decisions, assessing risk and responding appropriately to a range of student situations. We are looking for candidates with experience of supporting people in a wellbeing, health, education, community, customer support or related setting. You will be empathetic, organised, able to manage competing priorities and confident building positive relationships with a diverse range of students.

Working

Pattern
  • 24.5 hours per week
  • Fixed-term for 12 months
  • Based at Highfield Campus
  • 3 on, 3 off rotating shift pattern
  • 22:00 to 06:00
  • 1-hour unpaid meal break per shift
  • This post will attract a 15% shift enhancement of base spine point.
  • Includes working university closure days, weekends and public holidays as part of the 365 day service
