Technology & Software Architecture Lead

Salary: £85, per year

• We expect experience with cloud‑native architecture and modern engineering practices.
• We value experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• We are looking for technical leadership of software development teams.
• Experience with AI, LLMs, or agentic AI is highly valuable.

• We will work closely with the CTO to review the existing software and application landscape.
• We will lead the future design, rebuild, and modernisation of customer-facing technology solutions.
• We will assess existing solutions and identify what is working and what needs to change.
• We will define a modern technology architecture capable of supporting future growth.
• We may rebuild applications, improve integrations, consolidate systems, and introduce new technologies where they deliver genuine business value.
• We will provide strategic direction while remaining close enough to the technology to guide development teams and technical decisions.
• We will help shape the organisations next stage of technology transformation.

We are a successful and growing organisation undergoing an exciting period of technology transformation. This is a senior technology leadership role based in Southampton on a hybrid working pattern, with 2 to 3 days a week onsite. The role reports to the CTO and offers the opportunity to influence our architecture, rebuild and modernisation strategy, and help shape what comes next.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a genuine impact on customer-facing technology solutions, and who may also bring experience with AI where it can create real business value.
