Operations Manager – Terminal Operations

Ready to lead a busy port terminal operation and make a real impact? We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of terminal activities in Southampton, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused operations across vehicle, breakbulk and heavy-lift cargo movements.

• Leading day-to-day terminal operations and large operational teams
• Driving safety, performance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Managing labour, equipment, fleet and terminal resources
• Monitoring KPIs, budgets and operational efficiency
• Working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver outstanding service
• Supporting employee development, training and leadership growth
• Ensuring compliance with all operational, HSEQ and company standards

• Proven experience managing large teams in an operational environment
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills
• Experience with in terminal, port, logistics or cargo operations
• Ability to drive change, improve processes and solve problems
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on safety and customer service
• Full UK driving licence
• Fluent English communication skills
