Position: Ocean Import Operator

Location: Totton, Southampton

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm

Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

The Company:

They provide bespoke solutions for all types of freight movements and related services, supported by industry-leading IT platforms. They seek to appoint a new Ocean Import Coordinator to join the growing team based in Totton, Southampton.

Ocean Import Operator Role & Responsibilities:

• Complete deep-sea import operations from start to finish
• Provide first-rate customer service delivering the full life cycle of the import process
• Provide rates and quotes (LCL/FCL)
• Create bookings from origin for LCL & FCL imports
• Liaise with overseas agents, hauliers, shipping lines and customers directly
• Complete customs clearances for all import shipments

Requirements:

• 1 - 3 years’ experience in ocean freight operations (import or export)
• Experience with Cargowise software is preferable

The package:

• Salary up to £35,000 (negotiable)
• Company pension contribution
