Salary & Benefits:

* Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (Dependant on experience)

* Monday–Friday | Shifts between 6am – 6pm

* 45hrs per week

* 1 in every 4 weekends on call (+£160 supplement)

About The Role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Traffic Operator / Transport Planner to join a long-standing client of ours, a family-owned transport, logistics and supply chain organisation at their Southampton facility.

In this role you will be required to plan routes for a large fleet, both for general and container haulage using the companies TMS, planning in-line with WTD and ensuring relevant legislation and compliance is adhered too.

Key Responsibilities:

* Planning routes for full loads UK-wide (containers and trailers)

* Briefing and debriefing of Drivers

* Ensure that all road transport legislation is always adhered too

* Using the companies TMS system alongside additional bolt on variables to ensure the management of other operational elements

* Ensuring that systems are kept up to date and data is inputted accordingly

* Maintaining consistent liaison with Drivers, being available when needed for support and any questions.

* Dealing with Drivers Hours and ensuring routes are planned in line with WTD

Requirements

* 2-3 years’ experience across both general and container haulage planning

* Excellent knowledge of Drivers hours and WTD

* Previous experience using MANDATA – Advantageous

* Proficient in IT systems

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
