Berry recruitment is currently recruiting a domestic store operative on behalf of our client, Southampton General Hospital, for immediately start. This is a temporary assignment based at the Southampton General Hospital.

This role is suitable for an individual whose consistent approach in delivering logistics services, a Strong understanding of health & safety, and excellent customer service skills.

Working Hour:

Monday to friday: 7:00am- 3pm

Role Overview :

You will be responsible for maintaining agreed minimal stock levels and supporting the efficient operation of the hospital's logistics and stores service. you will carry out your duties within the scope of your skills and capabilities while ensuring high standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a high standard of Health & Safety, adhering to all Serco and PHNT policies and procedures.
  • Attend all operational and mandatory training as instructed in order for them to fulfil their job role in conjunction with the service requirements.
  • To ensure a friendly, efficient and courteous service is provided to both internal and external customers demonstrating high standards of customer service at all times.
  • To maintain minimal stock levels as agreed.
  • To ensure that all work areas are secure and tidy and items are stored safely.
  • To attend and participate in staff meetings
  • Stock takes to be maintained as agreed with the Logistics Manager.
  • Allocation of uniforms/ PPE and stores to all grades of employees ensuring that the relevant paper work is completed and filed accordingly.
  • Accept and process any goods in and out
  • Support the Logistics team with deliveries and any other duties as required.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc duties as prescribed by Manager and within scope of skill and capability.
