, we are recruiting for an Assistant Team Leader
to join our team, working in partnership with our customer Healf.

You will be working full-time
, permanent basis, on an ‘Any 5 days out of 7’ pattern, on a rotating shift, covering the hours of 07:00 to 15:30 and 13:00 to 21:30.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Support the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of your warehouse area, ensuring operational targets, deadlines and customer requirements are achieved safely and efficiently
  • Lead by example on health and safety, carrying out inductions, training and safe systems of work, whilst promoting a positive and compliant working environment
  • Provide guidance and support to warehouse operatives and agency colleagues, helping to resolve queries, maintain productivity and encourage strong team performance
  • Monitor stock movements, equipment and operational processes, identifying issues, reporting deviations and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics or operational environment, with experience supporting or supervising teams desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate colleagues, build relationships and provide excellent support to your team
  • A good understanding of health and safety requirements, operational procedures and the importance of accuracy in a customer-focused environment
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, use initiative and remain calm while managing changing priorities and operational demands
