Stores & Logistics Operative Location Hampshire Salary £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience Hours 08:00 - 16:30 The Company An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Stores & Logistics Operative to join its operations team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, control and dispatch of materials and products, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

Key Responsibilities Goods In Receive and inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation. Check deliveries for quantity, quality and damage discrepancies. Accurately record goods received using stock control systems. Store materials safely and correctly within designated locations. Report any shortages, damages or non-conforming materials. Stores & Inventory Management Maintain organised and accurate stores locations. Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.

Update inventory records and stock control systems. Issue stock and materials to internal teams as required. Ensure stores areas remain clean, organised and safe. Dispatch & Logistics Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch. Verify orders against documentation to ensure accuracy. Maintain dispatch records and shipping documentation. Liaise with courier and logistics providers where required. Load vehicles safely and in line with company procedures.

General Duties Operate warehouse and stores equipment safely. Adhere to all health and safety procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Assist with wider operational activities when required. Follow company policies and procedures at all times. Skills & Experience Required Essential Previous experience within a Stores, Warehouse, Logistics or Inventory position. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Experience using stock control or inventory systems.

Good organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic IT skills. Desirable Forklift Truck Licence. Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems. Understanding of stock control and inventory management principles.

Experience with in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Personal Attributes Reliable and dependable. Proactive approach to work. Strong work ethic. Good problem-solving skills.
