Warehouse Supervisor - Night Shift

Our client, a rapidly expanding distribution center in Randburg, Gauteng , is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead their night shift operations. This role is critical for ensuring that all warehouse activities run smoothly and efficiently during overnight hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of warehouse operatives, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of productivity and safety.

This is a hands-on leadership position within the Logistics & Warehousing sector, requiring a proactive approach and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will play a key role in optimizing the night shift’s performance and contributing to the overall success of the distribution network.

• Supervise and direct the activities of warehouse staff during the night shift in Randburg .
• Ensure efficient execution of tasks such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support to operatives to meet productivity targets.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and conducting regular safety checks.
• Manage inventory accuracy and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Address and resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise during the shift.
• Conduct training for new and existing staff on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and management to ensure seamless operations across shifts.
• Report on shift performance, including key metrics such as output, accuracy, and safety incidents.

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader, preferably within a night shift environment.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Experience in managing and motivating a team of warehouse staff.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery and equipment safely.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
