As a contract logistics specialist, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers, ensuring precision in storing and delivering goods such as delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores. Your leadership will guide a diverse team, drive continuous improvement, and maintain safety and efficiency in daily warehouse activities.
Responsibilities- Supervise and develop the performance of your team through effective training, coaching, and motivational strategies.
- Drive a culture of belonging in a diverse workforce where all associates feel safe, valued, and included.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely feedback to team members.
- Implement strategies to ensure the highest quality of work, optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity, and meet or exceed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Ensure safe operations and healthy environments for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
- Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage, product is counted, and all necessary records and reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Help maintain the security of the warehouse and assure the integrity of inventory.
- Implement continuous improvement action plans.
- Be flexible to work overtime and perform other responsibilities as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- 2 or more years in a supervisory role.
- At least 1 year of experience operating powered industrial trucks.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
