Registered Nurse - Cardiac Medical​/Surgical

The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process for clinical decision-making, ensuring safe, compassionate, and quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. The role involves providing clinical leadership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement department improvements.
• Guide staff during life-threatening situations and evaluate intervention outcomes.
• Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.
• Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Support ongoing learning and development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar setting or specialty area.
• Computer literacy is required; additional clinical skills preferred.
• Valid RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire are mandatory; ACLS preferred.
